CASDA honors area educators and community members at the Spring 2022 Annual Awards and Friends of Education Celebration

On Wednesday, April 13, Kelly Hubicki was honored with the Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA) Friends of Education Award, at the CASDA Annual Awards and Friends of Education Celebration held at Franklin Terrace in Troy, NY. CASDA presents this award to recognize the selfless contributions of individuals who dedicate themselves to serving students and enriching their school communities.

Hubicki was honored for her tireless efforts as an advocate for the children of the Greenville Central School District. As a parent of three children, twin boys in 11th grade and another enrolled in pre-K, she has made an impact across the district as her children moved through elementary, middle and high school. She has held multiple officer positions in PTA and PTSA organizations, served on shared decision making committees and provided essential leadership in launching the district’s Odyssey of the Mind program, which has grown to provide learning enrichment opportunities to 35 students.

Middle School Principal Brian Reeve stated, “Kelly is an integral part of the school community. Her selfless dedication to the children of Greenville has inspired us all and truly reflects the highest ideals of education.”
