Although the 9th Grade Global Studies classes of Mr. Katagiri and Mr. Thela, were unable to host a Medieval Fair Night this year, the students displayed their comprehension of the Middle Ages in Europe while presenting their projects and research virtually in class. After choosing a topic of interest, students conducted research to construct a physical project that represented the topic. As a modification to in-person presentations of exhibits, students constructed slide shows in which they imbedded research as well as videos and pictures demonstrating artifacts they created. Many of the people, ideas, technologies, and catastrophes from the period that had a great impact on the world today were represented. Students displayed a wide range of historical projects demonstrating food, architecture, disease, weapons, and much more. Check out some projects here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/155qFG02on2_LCg1kBqKxgWiwaaCSomiJ?usp=sharing

Mrs. Jensen's Earth Science classes took a virtual trip to the international space station in preparation for our Friday keynote address by astronaut Stephen Bowen. Each class developed questions to ask Mr. Bowen and selected a student representative to be part of the live interview. What would you ask an astronaut if you had the opportunity?
