On April 27th, Greenville Middle and High schools will join together to host the 10th Annual Career Day. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about various career paths and what they can do to prepare for the future.

Held during the school day, this particular event will be sectioned into three time slots, where students will have opportunities to visit panels with experts from different industries. Before Career Day, students will be asked to select their preferred panels. Some panels will be a traditional question-and-answer session, while others will be a hands-on learning experience. All students will be given the opportunity to ask questions.

So far on the schedule there are professionals from industries like Health Science, Communications, Art, STEM, Trades, Business, Law/Public Safety, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Human Services, Education, History and Medicine. With over 30 people from different fields attending, some of their job titles include:

The career day will provide students with an opportunity to interact with professionals in different industries. These interactions can be critical, especially for students who are beginning to think about what they might like to pursue in the future. Students will also have the opportunity to attend Healthy Living Sessions where they can learn about life sports, staying healthy after high school, how to prepare healthy meals, and how to achieve a work-life balance.

It is essential for families to talk to their children about careers. Children may have different ideas about what they want to do when they grow up, but it's essential to provide them with guidance and support as they make decisions about their futures. Families can help by talking about their own careers, providing information on different career paths, and helping their children identify their interests and strengths.

The career fair is an exciting opportunity for students to learn about different careers, interact with professionals in different fields, and get an idea of what they can expect when they enter the workforce. We urge families to encourage their children to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
