Universal Pre-K is a program that provides free pre-kindergarten classes for families who live in the Greenville Central School District. The UPK program is available to children who are 4 years old by December 1, 2026. All families are welcome to apply, regardless of income.
UPK classes are held five days a week for five hours daily, and follow the Greenville Central School District calendar. The UPK programs are located at the Greenville Elementary School and at the United Methodist Church Daycare in Norton Hill. Transportation is not provided by the school district.
The Universal Pre-K applications were mailed home earlier this week. If you have not received a copy by Friday, April 17, 2026, please contact Lynette Terrell at terrelll@greenvillecsd.org or 518-966-5070 x305.
Acceptance will be via a lottery after applications are received.
Families will be notified in writing of their acceptance to the UPK program. Upon acceptance into the UPK program, you will be required to complete the registration process with the Greenville Central School District Registrar. All enrollment offers are contingent on funding from the New York State Pre-K grant and the NYS Education Department.
