Thank you to everyone who helped the Art Department create this rainbow. Each tiny image that was combined to make this rainbow demonstrates how we are a strong community.

Museums are challenging people to recreate a work of art using only people and/or objects found around their homes. The stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic have made everyone more acquainted with their living spaces than they ever thought they would be and a little silly.
Greenville School District is jumping on the trend! Here are some examples created by GCS faculty.
Let's all celebrate and make art together from our homes. Give this a try and feel free to share it with me or tag GCSartroom on Instagram! See what recreations people all over have done at The Getty, #betweenartandquarantine, and #tussenkunstenquarantaine.

How can an artwork be made? We know that we need the elements of art (line, shape, space, color, value, texture, form), but how can that be changed up? Check out how Greenville students were inspired by artist Jason Markow and solved this creative challenge. http://gcshsart.weebly.com/advanced-studio-in-art.html

Today was the first day of meal/food distributions. When a community comes together, great things happen! Thank you for supporting our students and families!
